This is a culmination of experience of cooking in multiple kitchens, and multiple cuisines; with different people and different cultures. Immersed in the heat, sweat, love, hate. I believe art possesses the power to transcend boundaries and harmonize various cultures, beliefs backgrounds just like combining flavours and textures on a plate.
This illustration depicts a moment when I was working in a Mexican restaurant, and we used an amazing Josper oven. Seeing the fire blazing was a joy.

Sharpening knives. I illustrated this when I was sharpening my knives. It was a moment of zen and a moment of importance when caring for my tools that will bring me down a long way.
MISE EN PLACE is a French culinary term meaning “putting in place”; simply put, Prepwork. Chef the Cat is the star in this show. Worshipping the importance of preparation.

Totem of Viper & Vixen. Kitsune Japanese fox mask with a Hebi (serpent). Fox is biting down on a knife, whilst the snake coils around it.

NAKIRI - Japanese vegetable knife. Oriental style knives commonly used in eastern kitchens. With illustrations of waves.
GYUTO- Japanese equivalent of a chef's knife. With katabatic wind illustrations.
